Hope you were able to join us for Doris Day Day, our April 6th celebration of the showbiz legend’s 90th birthday. We were thrilled to get the participation of Ms. Day herself, as she picked out seven of her favorite episodes for us to air in a special mini-marathon of The Doris Day Show.

'Doris Day Day' featured interviews and birthday wishes from her co-stars and friends. Just a few of the celebrities that were featured in this tribute to Doris are Kaye Ballard, Jackie Joseph, Bernie Kopell, Tony Bennett, Lee Meriwether and of course Rose Marie. Robert Wagner and Betty White also extended special birthday wishes to the honoree.

As part of the telecast, Me-TV helped raise awareness for Doris' organization, The Doris Day Animal Foundation, which she formed in 1978. The mission of her foundation is to protect the needs of animals, and to help provide them with care and homes. Me-TV will also give away copies of Doris' new book "Doris Day’s Best Friends," featuring more than 200 photos of her life with animals. Proceeds from the sale of her book go toward the foundation.

Here were the episodes that Doris has selected for this event:

THE BUDDY - Mary Wickes, who appeared in four movies with Doris—'By The Light of The Silvery Moon,' 'On Moonlight Bay,’ 'I'll See You In My Dreams,' and 'It Happened to Jane'— guest stars as Marine Major Emma Flood, an old girlfriend of Doris' father Buck, who runs the house with military might when Doris must leave.

DORIS GETS A JOB - Doris goes on a job interview in San Francisco. McLean Stevenson and Rose Marie are introduced as Doris' new boss and her co-worker Myrna.

TONY BENNETT IS EATING HERE - Word travels fast when Tony eats at Palucci's restaurant. Bennett also sings with Doris.

HOSPITAL BENEFIT - Doris puts on her most exotic fashion show ever to aid her boyfriend, played by Peter Lawford. Lee Meriwether guest stars.

IT'S A DOG'S LIFE - In the last show filmed for the series, Doris tries to save dogs from the dog catcher and Billy De Wolfe's character, Mr. Jarvis, shows his love for dogs as does John Dehner’s character, Cy Bennett. Two of Doris' dogs appear in the episode.
